About the opportunity
The "Expand Our Horizons" project is a vibrant summer initiative in Poznań, bringing together 22 volunteers from diverse backgrounds to organize interactive activities in public spaces from July 2, 2025, to July 31, 2025. The project aims to promote intercultural understanding and cooperation through events designed for children, adults, and the elderly, including refugees from Ukraine.

Explanation of volunteering
Main activities:
- Organizing daytime summer camps and public animation shows.
- Engage children in different cultures without leaving Poznan.
- Improve children's language skills and foster an appreciation of cultural diversity.
- Preparing a theatrical and musical performance as a finale for the project.
- Organizing events at festivals outside Poznań to promote cultural unity.
working hours:
- Workshops at kindergartens or school camps: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Activities in public areas: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
- Cultural Centers Opening Hours: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- CIM Horizonty office hours: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Main tasks of the volunteer
- Facilitating summer camps and recreational activities for children and the elderly.
- Supporting children from diverse backgrounds (including Ukrainian refugees).
- Prepare a presentation about the volunteer's culture and country.
- Participate in preparing the final theatrical or musical show.
- Collaborate with the team to promote values such as peace and cultural diversity.
Experiences while volunteering
- Intensive training during the first week on values and activities with children.
