Explanation of volunteering
SkillALB is a program funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation ( AICS ) and implemented by the ENGIM Foundation , aiming to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Albania. The program focuses on empowering Albanian youth (aged 13 to 35) by improving their employability through the development of digital, vocational, and entrepreneurial skills.
Volunteers will work with approximately 4,800 young people from 5 schools and 2 vocational training centers in 5 different regions of Albania.
Main tasks of the volunteer:
- Conduct a needs assessment of schools and training centers in terms of teacher training and infrastructure.
- Gather information on best practices for internal training.
- Identify models and processes for collecting data on educational and employment impacts.
- Preparing project communication guidelines.
- Support the selection and orientation of Italian experts to train Albanian teachers.
Main tasks of the volunteer

Financing
- Accommodation: You will be provided with a shared apartment with other expatriates, equipped with electricity, hot and cold water, internet, a kitchen, and a washing machine.
- Monthly allowance: A living allowance of EUR 800 will be provided to cover basic needs such as food and local transportation.
- Working Hours: On-site and remote work can be combined depending on the volunteer's independence and activity schedule.
Admission criteria
- A degree in political science, sociology, statistics, community development, law, or human rights.
- Additional training in project management, development cooperation, or logistics is preferred.
- Skills and abilities:
- Strong communication and interaction skills.
- Ability to work in diverse and complex environments.
- Organizational skills and problem-solving ability.
- Independence and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Language and technical skills:
- English language proficiency at B2 level .
- Intermediate knowledge of Google suite of software (Documents and Sheets).
