Conditions for applying for the Turkish Religious Foundation Scholarship
Basic requirements for secondary school
- Not to hold Turkish citizenship or have the right to obtain it.
- To be born on 01/01/2009 or later.
- To be single (not married).
- The student must have completed the first and middle stages of primary and secondary education, which is equivalent in Turkey (8) academic years, and his total score must not be less than 70%.
- He must not have been absent from his studies for more than two years after the preparatory stage.
- That primary and secondary education is not studied in Turkey.
- 9- His family does not reside in Turkey.
- He must not be a refugee, and must not be residing with his family in Turkey.
- To be a resident of the country of which he is a citizen.
- Students coming from the Republic of Northern Cyprus must be its citizens. Students participating in the International Imams and Preachers Scholarship Program in Turkey from the Republic of Northern Cyprus will not be able to benefit from university seats allocated to foreigners and will be treated as Turkish citizens, unlike students who have completed their secondary education in Imams and Preachers schools in the Republic of Northern Cyprus, who have the right to benefit from these seats.
Bachelor's degree requirements
- The student must not be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
- He must not have obtained Turkish citizenship and lost it for any reason.
- Must be born on or after (01/01/2004)
- The student must have completed the secondary stage equivalent to the Turkish secondary school with a percentage of no less than (70%) or complete it by the end of July of the same year, and his total marks must not be less than that.
- The student must not have stopped his studies for more than two years between the secondary and university stages.
- He must not have previously received a grant from the Turkish Religious Foundation that was stopped by the foundation or he withdrew it himself.
- The student must not be registered and currently studying in Turkish universities.
Master's degree basic requirements
- Not to be a Turkish citizen, (students graduating from the International Sharia College program. Students must submit credentials other than Turkish citizenship.)
- Not to have reached the age of thirty as of the first day of the first month (1/1/1995)
- That period of absence from education shall not exceed two years between graduation from the undergraduate program and admission to the graduate program,
- To be a bachelor's degree graduate (if the university from which he graduated has a graduation thesis program)
- To be a graduate of the College of Theology or Islamic Sciences or its equivalent or to be able to graduate by July 2025.
- Students who have completed their education outside Turkey must have any internationally valid language certificate (for English: TOEFL, IELTS, CPE, CAE, iBT, PTE / for German: TestDaF, DSD II, TELC Deutsch and Goethe Institute / for French: DELF & DALF / for Italian: CELI / for Spanish: DELE / for Russian: TORFL / for Arabic: ALPT)
- For international students who have completed their education in Turkey or are able to graduate as of July 2025; Obtaining at least 50 points from YDS/YÖKDİL tests (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, etc.) organized by ÖSYM,
- For international students who have completed their education in Türkiye or are able to graduate as of July 2025; Obtaining at least 55 points from ALES, preferably organized by OSYM,
- Preference will be given to those who have published internationally (articles, research, projects, etc.),
Basic requirements for the doctoral stage
- Not to be a Turkish citizen, (students graduating from the International Sharia College program. Students must submit credentials other than Turkish citizenship.)
- Not to have reached the age of 35 years as of the first day of the first month (1/1/1990)
- The student must not have left education for more than two years between graduation from the master's program and admission to the graduate program.
- Master's thesis holder
- To be a graduate of the College of Theology or Islamic Sciences or its equivalent or to be able to graduate by July 2025.
- Students who have completed their education outside Turkey must have any internationally valid language certificate (for English: TOEFL, IELTS, CPE, CAE, iBT, PTE / for German: TestDaF, DSD II, TELC Deutsch and Goethe Institute / for French: DELF & DALF / for Italian: CELI / for Spanish: DELE / for Russian: TORFL / for Arabic ALPT)).
