Samsun Üniversitesi
Samsun University (Samsun Üniversitesi – SAMÜ) is a modern state university established on May 18, 2018, under Law No. 7141. Despite its recent establishment, the university has a solid academic foundation, as it was formed from colleges and institutes affiliated with Ondokuz Mayıs University, most notably the College of Aviation and Space, which provided it with strong academic experience since its inception.
The university boasts an academic identity focused on technology, aviation, and defense industries, alongside health and social sciences. Its faculties are spread across several campuses within the city of Samsun, most notably the Balike Campus, which houses advanced applied facilities for aviation and engineering disciplines, and the Canik Campus, located in the city center and dedicated to administrative and social sciences programs.
Samsun University adopts the motto "A University of Quality" and strives to promote research and development and support technological innovation. It provides a modern educational environment that combines theoretical and practical aspects, aiming to prepare graduates qualified to contribute to national and international development.
Why do students prefer Samsun University?
Excellence in Aviation and Space Sciences
The university's College of Aviation and Space is considered one of the best in Türkiye, as it has its own airport, runway and maintenance hangars, providing real practical training for future pilots and engineers.
