Vocational Institutes – Diploma Programs (2 years)

It includes dozens of applied programs with 15-20 seats each typically, including: Occupational Health and Safety, Pharmacy Assistance, Pathology Laboratory Techniques, Healthcare Management, Electrical Techniques, Electronics and Automation, Construction, Mechatronics, Food Processing and Quality Control, Plant Production, Animal Production.

• TR-YÖS: A score of no less than 100/500 points.
• TYT/AYT (Turkish General Examination): A score equal to or higher than the minimum score for the program in the previous year (specified in the seat table).
• SAT I: Get at least 1000 total points, with at least 500 points in mathematics.
• High school average: At least 60% of the total grade (for students applying with a high school diploma without an exam).
• GCE A-Level: In at least 3 subjects with a score of A (one of which is related to the required specialization).
• Tawjihi (Jordan/Palestine) - Science Division: Average of at least 80/100 in all subjects.
• IB (International Baccalaureate): At least 28/45.
• ABITUR (Germany): 4 points or less (German points system).
• ACT: At least 21 points in (Science + Math + Total).
• Lebanese Baccalaureate (Lebanon) - Scientific: At least 65/100.
• Gaokao (China): At least 500/750 in the type of software required.

Additional notes for Arab students:

• Engineering programs (such as Computer/Software Engineering): usually require top scores such as a high SAT, TR-YÖS 120+ or Tawjihi 85+.
• Health Sciences (Nursing/Occupational Health): SAT or ACT or high school average 70%+ with preference given to science majors.
• Theoretical programs (Education/Islamic Studies): TR-YÖS 100 or a 60% average is usually sufficient.
• Final evaluation: Based on points ranking + preference ranking; in case of a tie, the younger applicant wins. Meeting the age requirement does not guarantee acceptance if all places are filled.

Online application phase:

• Fill out the application form via the university website with your personal and academic information.
• Upload the high school diploma or the student's statement of final year, along with the grade report.
• Attach a valid passport, a personal photo, and any certificate or exam required under the conditions.
• After initial acceptance is announced, the student is required to complete registration by submitting original or certified copies of documents, along with official translations and attestations as per instructions (and sometimes registration can be done through the e-government portal for certain categories).

Required documents 

• High school diploma or equivalent (original or certified, with an official Turkish or English translation if needed).
• High school transcripts for all required grades or years, translated and certified according to university requirements.
• A valid passport, with a clear copy of the personal data page.
• A recent personal photograph meeting the specifications outlined in the application system.
• Any specific exam certificate or grade point average required for the major (as detailed in the admissions guide for each program).
• Proof of language proficiency (if requested) or a commitment to study a preparatory year of Turkish if a language certificate is not available.

Additional documents (for postgraduate or private studies)

For postgraduate students, university institutes (such as the Institute of Social Sciences or the Institute of Sciences) announce specific requirements for each program, but these often include:

• Bachelor's degree certificate (or Master's degree for PhD programs) with full transcript translated and certified.
• An academic CV, and a statement of intent or research plan for some programs.
• Two or more letters of recommendation from faculty members.
• Proof of language proficiency at the required level is necessary, and an exam such as ALES or its equivalent may also be required for some programs.
• In cases of transfer from another university or for scholarship recipients, additional documents such as detailed transcripts of previous courses or scholarship documents may be required. These requirements are clearly stated in the institutes' announcements for the current academic year.
