Although it does not have a Faculty of Human Medicine (which remains affiliated with Erciyes University), Kayseri University offers a distinguished range of disciplines, most notably:

Colleges (Bachelor's programs - 4 years):

• Faculty of Applied Sciences: It includes specializations such as accounting and financial management, international trade and logistics, and public relations and advertising.
• Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design: It includes engineering and technical specializations (you should check the specializations that are open annually as they are in the process of expansion).
• Faculty of Health Sciences: It includes important specializations such as nursing, health institution management, and therapy and rehabilitation.
• Faculty of Islamic Sciences: Offers in-depth studies in Sharia and religious sciences.
• Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Vocational institutes (diploma programs - two years):

• The university has a very wide and strong network of vocational institutes (MYOs) covering specific and in-demand disciplines.
• For example: computer programming, electricity, mechanics, graphic design, office management, and food technology.

Kayseri University follows relatively flexible admission criteria compared to the major universities in Istanbul and Ankara, and its selection process is based on:

Unified YÖS Exam (TR-YÖS):

• This exam has become the primary and strongest criterion for university admission, and priority for seats is given to students who obtain good scores in it.

YÖS tests for other universities:

• In some years, the university may accept YÖS certificates issued by other recognized government universities, but priority is always given to the unified YÖS.

Secondary school certificate (Tawjihi/Baccalaureate):

• Kayseri University often allows (especially in the second round of admissions or for vocational institutes) applications based solely on the high school GPA.
• To compete for strong undergraduate majors (such as nursing or applied sciences), a GPA above 70-80% is preferred.
• As for vocational institutes, admission is often available with rates starting from 60%.

Essential documents:

• Passport photo (valid).
• A recent personal photo.
• Original high school diploma (translated into Turkish and notarized).
• Original transcript (translated and certified).
• Secondary school certificate equivalency document (Denklik Belgesi) - usually required upon final registration.
• TR-YÖS exam result.

Additional documents (for postgraduate studies):

• Graduation certificate and transcript for the Bachelor's degree (translated and certified).
• Letter of Intent (explains the student's research objectives).
• Letters of recommendation from academic specialists.
• An updated curriculum vitae (CV).
• Turkish language proficiency certificate (C1) from an accredited TOMER center (a prerequisite for starting studies, otherwise the student studies a preparatory year).

The university follows a relatively fixed annual calendar for international students, and data will be updated as it becomes available:

• Application period: The university usually opens applications for international students in the summer, often in June or July.
• Results announcement: The results will appear a few weeks after the application period closes (August).
• Enrollment: A short period of time is set for accepted students to attend in person and submit the documents.
• Vacancy rounds: The university is known for opening additional rounds (second and third) in September and October to fill vacant seats, and the chances of acceptance are very high.

The selection process:

The selection process is done online based on the student’s submitted grades (YÖS or high school), taking into account geographical diversity (nationalities) to ensure that no single nationality dominates the specializations.
