  • For Pharmacy & Other Programs: Minimum 50% High School GPA.
  • Important for Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy: You must have completed at least one semester of Chemistry or Biology in high school.

Path B: International Exam Scores (Meeting any one of these is enough)

For Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy:

  • SAT: 1200 total, with at least 600 in Math.
  • GCE A-Level: 'A' in core science subjects.
  • ACT: 24 / IB: 30 / Matura: 2.5 / French Bac: 15 / Abitur: 2.5 / Turkish-YÖS: 75

  • ACT: 21 / IB: 28 / Matura: 3.5 / French Bac: 12 / Abitur: 3.5 / Turkish-YÖS: 60

Step 2: Prove Your Language Proficiency

The requirement depends on the language of your chosen program.

For English-Medium Programs:

You are exempt if you have:

  • TOEFL iBT/Home: 75 / IELTS: 6.0 / PTE: 55 / LanguageCert: 70 / CPE: C / CAE: B
  • A high school diploma from a fully English-medium school.
  • If you don't have the above, you must take the İSÜ English Proficiency Exam.

For Turkish-Medium Programs:

You are exempt if you have:

  • A TÖMER B2 certificate or a Yunus Emre certificate.
  • If you don't have the above, you must take the İSÜ Turkish Exam.

Step 3: Prepare Your Registration Documents

  • Passport or National ID
  • Original High School Diploma and Transcript (in Turkish/English or with a certified translation)
  • 6 Passport-sized Photos
  • Recognized Exam Result (if you used Path B for academic admission)
  • Bank Receipt for at least half of the annual tuition fee

Step 1: Meet the Academic Requirement

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 60% overall GPA.
  • ALES (a Turkish exam) is not required for international applicants.

Step 2: Prove Your Language Proficiency

  • For Thesis Master's Programs: You must submit a valid, recognized language certificate (like TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) regardless of the program's language.

Step 3: Prepare Your Registration Documents

  • Passport
  • Original Bachelor's Diploma and Transcript (in Turkish/English or with a certified translation)
  • Language Proof (if applicable, see Step 2)
  • Payment Receipt as stated in your acceptance letter

The requirements are set by each specific institute, but all applicants must meet these two core conditions:

Required Documents:

  • Passport
  • Original Bachelor's AND Master's Diplomas and Transcripts
  • Valid Language Certificate
  • Any program-specific materials requested by the Graduate School (e.g., statement of purpose, research proposal)

Eligibility & Academic Criteria

You would typically need to qualify through one of two routes:

Route 1: High School Grades

  • A minimum high school GPA of 50% is the typical threshold for programs outside of Medicine/Dentistry. Associate programs follow this rule.
  • Some health-related associate programs may have specific course prerequisites (e.g., Biology or Chemistry).

Route 2: International Exams

  • You can use scores from exams like SAT, ACT, IB, A-Levels, or the Turkish-YÖS.
  • The specific minimum scores required are listed in the university's annual "Application Criteria" table and would waive the GPA requirement.

Language Proficiency Requirements

The requirement depends on the language of the program:

For English-medium Programs:

  • You are exempt if you have a recognized test score (e.g., TOEFL iBT 75, IELTS 6.0, PTE 55) or graduated from a fully English-medium high school.
