Faculty of Technology:

These include: Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Faculty of Agriculture:

Faculty of Forestry:

The university adopts a flexible policy in accepting international students, and the priorities are as follows:

Unified YÖS Exam (TR-YÖS):

• It is the strongest criterion for admission. The university usually requires a minimum score of 40-50% to compete for engineering positions and other highly specialized fields.

YÖS tests for other universities:

• The university may accept YÖS certificates issued by other accredited government universities, provided that the grades are high.

International Certificates (SAT/ACT):

• The university accepts the SAT (usually with a minimum of 1000/1600) and other international tests, but priority is often given to the YÖS.

Secondary school certificate (Tawjihi/Baccalaureate):

• The university allocates seats for admission based solely on the high school GPA (without YÖS), especially if the seats are not filled by YÖS tests.
• The minimum required grade for application is usually 60% for colleges, but it rises significantly when competitive (it may reach 80-90% for engineering majors).

Essential documents required (for online application):

• A personal photo with a white background.
• A copy of a valid passport.
• High school diploma (baccalaureate) translated into Turkish or English and certified.
• Grade Report: Translated and certified showing grades for all years of high school.
• A TÖS (TR-YÖS) or SAT test certificate, if available, greatly increases the chances of acceptance.

Additional documents (upon final confirmation or for postgraduate studies):

Equivalence Certificate:

• A document proving the equivalence of the high school diploma to the Turkish diploma (obtained from the Turkish embassy or the Directorate of Education in Türkiye).

Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate (TÖMER):

• Level B2 or C1 is usually required. If the student does not have this level, they must take an exemption exam at the university or study a preparatory year for the language.

For postgraduate studies:

• Motivation letter.
• Letters of recommendation.
• Summary of the Master's thesis (for PhD applicants).

Application period begins (first selection):

It usually opens in mid-June (month 6) and continues until mid-July (month 7). (For example, in 2024 the application period was between July 4 and July 26).

Results announcement:

It takes place in late July or early August.

Confirmation of the restriction:

It takes place in August.

Vacancy selection (second selection):

If there are still vacant seats, the university usually opens a second application period in late August or early September.

Students are sorted based on their grades (YÖS first, then international certificates, then secondary school average) and their nationalities (to ensure diversity, as there is a specific "quota" for each country).
