To apply as an international student at Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi , all documents must be prepared in English or Turkish with a certified translation from a confirmed translator and apostille issued by your country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applications are accepted online only. The application fee is $50-$100 (non-refundable, payable online), and is waived for applicants to the Turkish Scholarship program. After acceptance, original documents must be submitted for final registration in August-September 2026.

• Passport or national identity card, clear photo of the main page, valid for at least 6 months after arrival in Türkiye.
• Original high school diploma or secondary school certificate + certified copy, translated into English or Turkish, and certified (apostille) by the Turkish embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country, proving completion of 12 years of schooling.
• High school transcript, official stamped copy with overall average, translated and certified, to prove grades in science and mathematics (especially for engineering).
• Acceptable exam results: GTÜYÖS, TR-YÖS, SAT, ACT or IB (original or certified copy, valid 2023–2026) with a clear overall score, and proof of English proficiency if not from an English-speaking country.
• 4 passport-sized photos (4x6 cm, white background, recent, no more than 6 months old).
• Motivation Letter (maximum 500 words in English), explaining the reason for choosing the university and engineering major (required and increases the chances of acceptance by 25%).
• Proof of financial capability: A bank statement showing at least $6,000 for the first year, or a financial guarantee from the guardian along with their documents.
• A certificate of good conduct (criminal record) issued by the police in your country, certified and translated, not exceeding 6 months, to prove the absence of crimes or security problems.
• Proof of language (if required) TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS 5.5 for English (required for English programs; not required if you choose the foundation year).
• Receipt for payment of application fee $50-$100 (payable online by card or bank transfer during application; exempt for Türkiye Bursları scholarships).

Additional documents (for postgraduate studies or special cases)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree certificate + transcript translated and certified, with an emphasis on degrees in engineering or science.
• A CV in English (1–2 pages), including research or industry experience.
• Two letters of recommendation from professors or a previous employer (required for Master's and PhD).
• GRE or GMAT score if required for graduate programs in engineering or management.
• Proof of residence or a special passport for students from certain countries such as Syria or Iraq if required for security verification.
