Important note: Detailed admission requirements for international students for 2026 have not yet been published by the university. The following information is based on past general practice and will be updated upon official university announcement.

High school diploma (Baccalaureate/Tawjihi): The high school diploma must be accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Education or the Turkish Embassy. Admission is primarily based on cumulative grade point average (GPA). The higher your GPA, the greater your chances of admission to competitive fields such as medicine and engineering.

The YÖS exam: Most Turkish public universities require the YÖS exam. You will need to wait to find out if the university will accept the central YÖK exam or administer its own. The required score varies each year depending on the competition for the program.

Turkish Language Proficiency Test (TÖMER): All the mentioned programs are taught in Turkish. Therefore, proof of language proficiency is usually required, either through a TÖMER certificate (at least level C1 or B2) or by passing a language exam administered by the university.

Basic documents required (for a Bachelor's degree)

• The completed online application is submitted via the official website.
• A copy of a valid passport.
• A copy of the original high school diploma, certified and translated into Turkish or English.
• High school transcript certified and translated.
• A copy of the Turkish language proficiency certificate (TÖMER), if available. If unavailable, enrollment in a Turkish language program at the university may be required.
• A copy of the YÖS test result, if required.
• Recent passport-sized personal photos.
• Proof of payment of application fees (if applicable).

Additional documents (for postgraduate or private studies)

• For Master's and PhD students: Original certified and translated Bachelor's/Master's degree certificate, transcripts, letter of intent (statement of purpose), academic recommendation letters (usually 2), curriculum vitae, and sometimes a research proposal.
• Final Equivalence Certificate: After obtaining initial acceptance, you may be required to obtain a “Certificate Equivalence Document” from the Turkish Directorate of National Education.

• Proof of financial capability: A bank statement may be required to prove your ability to cover the expenses of the first year.

The official application dates for international students (undergraduate) for 2026 have not yet been announced. Generally, Turkish universities open applications for the fall semester (which begins in September/October) during two main periods:

• For the fall semester: The application period is usually from April to the end of July.
• For the spring semester (starting in February): The application period is usually from October to December.
