Australian Scholarship Explanation
The 2025 Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship round is now open for applications from both within and outside Australia. These scholarships are for commencement of a postgraduate degree by research at Charles Darwin University from 6 January to 31 March 2025. The Australian Government RTP Stipend is awarded to students with exceptional research potential to undertake a human development report at an Australian university and is not automatically awarded to all students. The scholarships are provided to assist with general living costs. AUD 32,192 (2024 rate) per annum is tax-free for full-time students, payable in fortnightly installments.

Admission criteria
- Applicants must be eligible to enrol at Charles Darwin University on a full-time higher degree by research programme.
- Applicants must meet the academic entry requirements of Charles Darwin University for a Masters by Research or Doctorate by Research degree.
- Applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree to be eligible for a Master's scholarship.
- Applicants must have completed both a Bachelor's and Master's degree to be eligible for a PhD scholarship.
- Applicants must have exceptional research potential.
