Accepted exams and required grades

  • SAT: Total 1000+, Math 500+.
  • GCE A-Level: Obtain an A in at least 3 subjects (one of which is related to the program).
  • Tawjihi (Jordan/Palestine): Average 80% in the science stream.  
  • IB (International Baccalaureate): At least 28 points.
  • Abitur (Germany): Maximum 4 points.
  • ACT: Achieve a 21 in Science/Mathematics + Overall.
  • Lebanese Baccalaureate: 65% in the science stream.
  • Gaokao (China): 500/750 depending on the program.
  • Syrian secondary school certificate: 185/240 in the science stream (engineering); 170/240 for the rest of the specializations.
  • International Olympics (TÜBİTAK): Gold/Silver/Bronze.
  • Libyan Secondary School Certificate: 185/240 in Science (Engineering); 170/240 for the rest of the specializations.
  • High school grades: at least 60%.
  • TR-YÖS: Obtain at least 100 points.

Required documents and papers for application to Bingöl University 2026

To apply as a foreign student, documents must be prepared in Turkish or English with a certified translation and apostille from your country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applications are accepted only through the official website. The fee is $50 (non-refundable, online), which is waived for Turkish scholarships.

  • High school diploma: translated and certified, with transcript.
  • SAT, ACT, TR-YÖS or high school results only: according to the selection system.
  • 4 personal photos: white background.

Cost of living at Bingöl University:

Bingöl is one of the least expensive cities in Turkey, making it an excellent choice for students. Government-provided accommodation costs between $250 and $500 per year, while food expenses range from $150 to $250 per month. Students can also share accommodation with other students for $100 to $180 per month. Public transportation is inexpensive, costing around $30 per month. The average cost of living is only $250 to $400.
