The university includes a diverse range of colleges and disciplines, most notably:

• Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: Economics (in English/Turkish), Business Administration (in English/Turkish), International Relations, Finance, Econometrics.
• Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences: Computer Engineering (English/Turkish), Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering.
• Faculty of Health Sciences: Nursing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Administration.
• Faculty of Maritime Navigation: Marine Transport Engineering and Management (in English), Maritime Business Administration, Shipbuilding and Ship Machinery Engineering.
• Faculty of Medicine (in Turkish).
• Faculty of Humanities and Society: Turkish Language and Literature, History, Art History.

• Vocational Schools: Offer two-year diploma programs in fields such as justice, foreign trade, and computer programming.

The university adopts a flexible admissions policy for international students:

Unified YÖS Exam (TR-YÖS):

• It is considered the basic criterion for admission to competitive disciplines (medicine, engineering).
• Required scores: Usually a minimum of 250-300 out of 500 is required to apply, but admission to medicine requires much higher scores (400+).

International Certificates (SAT): ​

• The university accepts the SAT test with a minimum score of 1000/1600 (with at least 500 in mathematics).

Secondary school certificate (Tawjihi/Baccalaureate):

• Most majors can be applied for with a high school GPA (except for medicine, which often requires YÖS or near-perfect GPA).
• Minimum GPA: The university accepts applications with a GPA of 60% and above, but GPAs of 70-80% are preferred to secure a place in engineering and health sciences.

Essential documents (for online application):

• A personal photograph.
• A copy of a valid passport.
• High school diploma (baccalaureate) translated into Turkish or English and certified.
• The transcript is translated and certified, showing the grades for all years of high school.
• High school equivalency certificate (Denklik Belges) - usually required upon final registration.

Additional documents (graduate studies or final admission):

• Turkish language certificate: TÖMER certificate at level C1. If it is not available, the student must take an exemption exam or study a preparatory year.
• English language certificate: YDS/YÖKDİL certificate or its international equivalent (TOEFL).
• For postgraduate studies: Bachelor's degree certificate and transcript, motivation letter, and letters of recommendation.

The university follows a relatively fixed annual calendar for international students, and data will be updated as it becomes available:

Start online application:

• Applications will be accepted electronically starting from June 23 and continuing until July 18.

Application evaluation:

• It takes place between July 21 and August 1.

Results announcement:

• The lists of accepted candidates are expected to be announced in the first week of August.

Final Registration:

• It will be done in person at the university from August 11 to August 29.

Vacancy selection (second selection):

• If seats remain, a second selection will be held in September.

The selection process:

• The selection process is done electronically based on grades (TR-YÖS, then international certificates, then secondary school average).
• The university allocates specific "quotas" (quotas) to each country to ensure geographical diversity of students.
