Adiyaman University

Adıyaman University - Discover excellence in the heart of historic southeastern Türkiye!

Adıyaman University is a public university established in 2006 by Law No. 5467. It is located in the heart of the peaceful and safe city of Adıyaman in southeastern Turkey. Today, it comprises 12 faculties, two graduate schools, and six vocational schools, with over 22,000 students. The university is very popular among Arab students, as it annually welcomes more than 800 international students from almost every Arab and Islamic country. The modern and spacious campus is just 10 minutes from the city center, and there are direct transportation links to the world-famous Mount Nemrut. The university's motto is "Science in the Service of Society," and it truly lives up to this through its affordable tuition fees and internationally recognized quality of education.

Why do Arab students prefer Adiyaman University over others?

  • Firstly, the tuition fees are very low compared to all other public universities: medicine does not exceed $3,500, engineering and nursing are around $2,000, and the rest of the majors start from only $1,000.
  • Secondly, the number of seats allocated to foreigners is very large (more than 800 seats in 2026), and this significantly increases the acceptance rate.
  • Thirdly, they do not require a high level of Turkish language skills, but rather give you a full free preparatory year with subsidized accommodation.
  • Fourth, the full Turkish scholarship is accepted from here very easily, and private university scholarships reach up to 100% exemption.
  • Fifth, the Arab community within the university is huge, and you'll find friends from your country within the first week. Finally, the International Student Office is open 24 hours a day and responds to WhatsApp messages even at 3 AM, assisting you every step of the way from visas to accommodation.
