The university adopts a flexible policy in accepting international students, and the priorities are as follows:

Unified YÖS Exam (TR-YÖS):

• The acceptance rate varies depending on the program itself.
• The minimum score for the following programs (Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering) is 350-500 points.
• The minimum score for the following programs (Energy Systems Engineering, Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, International Trade and Finance, Tourism Management, Psychology, Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, Translation and Interpreting) is 300-500 points.

International certifications:

• The university adopts a range of international and national tests/certifications.
• (SAT I) test: A score of 1000-1600 is required.
• (ACT) test: A score of 21-36 is required.
• (IB) test: A score of 28-45 is required.
• Abitur test: A score of 4 or more is required.
• (GCE) test: At least level C must be achieved.

National Certificate (Baccalaureate - Matura - Thanawiya - Tawjihi):

• In all national certificates, according to your country and the different names for them, you must achieve 60% or more in the final result.

Language requirements (English and Turkish):

• Fully English programs: Turkish language proficiency (A2) is required, and English proficiency is required as follows (TOEFL iBT 84, PTE Academic 71, YADYO 70). Passing any of the above exams is necessary to prove proficiency in English.
• Partially English programs: Turkish language proficiency (B2) is required, along with results from any of the English language proficiency tests mentioned previously.
• Fully Turkish programs: require a minimum Turkish language level of C1, and for translation and interpreting specializations, it is necessary to achieve (C1 for Turkish) and (B2 for English).

Essential documents required (for online application):

• Personal photo.
• A copy of a valid passport.
• National Certificate (Secondary/High School Diploma) translated into Turkish or English and certified.
• Grade Report: Translated and certified showing grades for all years of high school.
• Certificate or result of internationally accepted exams (TR-YÖS, SAT, IB, ACT, Abitur) and others.

Additional documents (upon final confirmation or for postgraduate studies):

• A certificate equivalent to the national certificate (high school diploma, high school diploma, or other) issued by (the Turkish Embassy, the Turkish Consulate, or the Turkish Ministry of Education).
• Language proficiency certificates (Turkish/English).
• Curriculum Vitae, Letter of Motivation, Academic Letters of Recommendation and Research Proposal (if applicable).
• Certificate of the previous stage, whether it is (Bachelor’s or Master’s), and transcript translated and certified.

First: Official dates (according to the International Admissions Announcement 2025–2026)

• Online application period: from July 22, 2025 to August 3, 2025.
• Results announcement: August 11, 2025.
• Registration period for accepted applicants (first list): from August 18, 2025 to August 22, 2025.
• Registration period for those accepted from the reserve list: from August 25, 2025 to August 29, 2025.

Second: The selection mechanism as officially stated

• Applications are submitted through the International Students Office's online system.
• Late or non-compliant applications will not be accepted.
• All documents must be translated into English and/or Turkish; any documents in any other language are not acceptable.
• The university emphasizes that documents must be accurate and clear; any lack of clarity will result in the application being cancelled.
• According to the 2025–2026 announcement: Applicants can only choose one program in each application cycle.

A financial condition related to the acceptance letter: After the application process is completed and the accepted students are announced, the university requires the accepted student to pay a deposit equal to 15% of the annual program fees as a condition for issuing the official acceptance letter. Failure to pay within the announced period may result in the cancellation of the registration right.
